The National Spine Institute is located in the state-of-the-art Beacon Hospital. The Beacon hospital offers patients a seamless treatment pathway from initial diagnosis, through to treatment options and rehabilitation. The Beacon Radiology Department offers rapid access to Ireland’s most technologically advanced diagnostic radiology unit. This unit is GE’s European showcase centre and is home to the latest in diagnostic imaging equipment including CT, 3DMRI, X-ray and ultrasound. The Theatre complex in the Beacon hospital is equipped with Ziehm™ 3D imaging systems and Brainlab™ Spinal navigation. Together, these systems enable the surgical team to use computer navigation during surgery to guide the procedure, ensuring implants are placed in an optimal position allowing rapid recovery for the patient.
